Blencathra and Blease Fell: Lake District Walking Routes

Distance: 5.7 miles

Ascent: 2313ft

Fells: Blencathra and Blease Fell

Blencathra 2848ft

Blease Fell 2641ft

An iconic fell that does not have to be ascended from the daunting Sharp Edge. Starting from Threlkeld, just off the A66, it is a near constant ascent to the summit.

Fantastic views over Latrigg to the Coledale and Newland Horseshoes as well as looking at the iconic humpback shape of Blencathra itself.

Disclaimer: This is an account of my walk, it is not a guide. Do not go on a walk on these fells based solely off this guide. Remember, the fells are dangerous if you are unprepared and inexperienced.
